Poetry is rhythmic flow of intense feelings and thoughts

Courting Forever

Written By: Mohanchand
We had a date on Valentine’s day
Like many dates in past ten years
In the court pleading for divorce.
In the same corridor we meet
Becoming strangers in each meet.
Though on dates we are regular
We never speak to each other.
I stand near the bench by his side
As on wedding day like his bride.
He wants divorce at the earliest
I want to stay with my eldest
Son and cute grand children.
Though in agony we both burn
Our determinations never budge
Awaiting the verdict from the judge
One of our lawyers is usually late
The one present prays for another date.
We stay married as husband and wife
Courting forever in winter of our life.
