The KM number mentioned in the checklist stands for Krause publication number. Please refer to the resource section for further details on books issued by Krause publication.

  You are partly right.The 'KM' number is actually derived from the surnames of the 2 authors who compiled the original Krause catalogue numbering system - Chester Krause & Clifford Mischler.

Chester Krause was also the founder of Krause Publications.
